Bowen technique

This therapy specialises in treating back and neck pain, knee problems, sports injuries, RSI (repetitive strain injury), frozen shoulder, tennis elbow, respiratory problems, sciatica and migraine, and can help reduce stress.

A highly effective, non invasive, hands on therapy, it aims to balance the whole person, not just the presenting symptoms, and can be performed either through light clothing or directly onto skin.

How it works

The practitioner uses thumbs or fingers to make a series of precise rolling moves over muscle, tendons, ligaments and fascia (layers of fibrous tissue) at precise points on the body to release musculosketal, joint and nerve pain.

During the session, there may be short breaks so the body can rapidly respond to the moves. These rest periods give the body time to make subtle adjustments to rebalance, relieve tension and reduce pain.
