Paediatric First Aid

Cost: £120 + VAT per person

A two day course which provides professionals supervising young children (eg teachers, au pairs, childminders, nursery staff, playgroup leaders etc) with the skills and confidence to cope with emergency scenarios.

The course fulfils the requirements of EYFA and enables first aiders to deal promptly and competently with situations that maya arise when supervising or caring for babies, infants and young children. 

Course Overview

This course covers all the elements delivered in the Emergency Paediatic First Aid syllabus which are: 

  • responsibilities and reporting
  • resusciation 
  • dealing with an unresponsive casualty 
  • minor injuries
  • assessment of the situation
  • epilepsy
  • wounds and bleeding
  • anaphylaxis and shock

but also covers additional topics such as 

  • fractures and dislocations
  • injuries to the head, neck, back, eyes, ears or nose
  • bites or stings
  • burns or scolds
  • chronic medical conditions
  • sudden illness

An optional packed lunch is available for £6 + VAT per person. Please book lunch when booking course.

Group training can be delivered onsite at a client's premises for up to 12 delegates for £1,000 + VAT.
