Professional Driver CPC First Aid at Work

Cost: £125 + VAT per person

A one day Joint Approvals Unit for Periodic Traning (JAUPT) approved course for all professional drivers of large goods vehicles and passenger carrying vehicles who are required to fulfil their CPC training.

The course counts towards seven hours of the required 35 hours' training and provides the skills and confidence needed to administer first aid in emergency situations while on the road. 

A valid driving licence for any driver attending the course will need to be supplied at the time of booking.

  • Role of the first aider
  • Situation assessment
  • Managing an emergency
  • Preventing cross infection
  • Recording incidents and actions
  • Treating minor injuries (cuts, grazes, burns, scalds and splinters)
  • CPR
  • health and safety (first aid) regulations

It also provides instructions on dealing with casualties who are:

  • unconscious (including seizure)
  • wounded
  • bleeding
  • choking
  • in shock

Places: maximum number of delegates per session is 12

An optional packed lunch is available for £6 + VAT per person per day. Please order at time of booking.
